Treasured Moment

The thunder rolled in the distance as the clouds formed a thick covering for the sky. The river was blue as ever with swans paddling about on its surface. Birds chirped in the trees, making really nice sounds. The trees were towering high above, with their leaves green and flowers budding. A monkey climbed onto one of the trees, watching. In the distance, a fisher man sat on the other side of the river with his fishing rod. It was the perfect scene and I stared at it in awe. I wanted to stand and stare at it all day. I wanted it to remain that beautiful.

It was also the perfect moment. They had only just met a few months ago and their friendship had blossomed like one of the budding flowers on the tree.

Tom stopped abruptly. Kate stopped too. They turned and looked at each other and at that precise moment, they both knew what they felt for one another was more than friendship, it was LOVE. They inched closer, like a metal to a magnet until their lips touched.

There was a spark of light across the sky and it started to rain but they did not mind as they stood and shared their first passionate kiss.
